Agnieszka Koziczak, last year’s graduate of physiotherapy at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Medical University of Wrocław, took second place in the competition for the best master’s thesis in physiotherapy, organized by the National Chamber of Physiotherapists. 

The jury awarded her work “Comparison of the influence of a flat and a gel cushion of a computer mouse pad on the activity of selected muscle groups”. The author assessed the neuromuscular effort using surface electromyography of selected muscles while working at a computer with a computer mouse using a gel pad, compared to a flat pad.

The research carried out by the graduate has not only scientific, but also practical meaning – due to the prevalence of computerized workplaces that affect the efficiency of the human body and the occurrence of pain in the musculoskeletal systems.
