Poland helping Belarusian students

This year 395 people will receive scholarships, as part of the “Solidarity with Belarus – students” initiative, organized by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). The Agency will allocate over PLN 5 million for this purpose.  

Among 395 people who will receive support, 271 are Belarusian citizens starting first BA or MA studies, and the rest who will continue their education in Poland, being scholarship holders under last year’s NAWA initiative “Solidarity with students”. It was part of the activities under the “Solidarity with Belarus” campaign, prepared by NAWA at the request of the Ministry of Science.

Students who received a scholarship in 2021 as part of the action “Solidarity with Belarus – students” will study at 62 public and private universities supervised by the Ministry of Education and Science.

NAWA informs, that the largest number of people started education at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, the Jagiellonian University, the University of Warsaw, the University of Łódź and the Warsaw School of Economics. The most often chosen courses by Belarusian scholarship holders are: Management, IT, Philology, Biotechnology and Journalism.
