December 22, 2021 at 18.00, the National Science Center (NCN) is inviting participants to the last lecture this year in the series “Science in the Center”. The main lecturer of the online meeting will be Prof. Jonatan Gutman, winner of the NCN 2021 Award in exact and technical sciences.
The title of his lecture is: “Reconstruction of a dynamical system from observation: a mathematical approach”.
Prof. Jonatan Gutman works at the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), where he deals with the theory of dynamical systems, in particular topological dynamics and ergodic theory.
He studied at the Israel Technion Institute and at Stanford. He obtained his doctorate at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and his habilitation at the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He has completed numerous postdoctoral fellowships, also at the Cambridge and Oxford Universities.
Program “Science in the Center” is carried out jointly by the National Science Center and the Copernicus Center for Interdisciplinary Research of the Jagiellonian University. As a rule the winners of the NCN Awards 2020 and 2021 talk about their research. It began in mid-October this year.
