Best ever positions of Polish universities in the QS World Ranking by Subject

The latest QS World Ranking by Subject 2022, published on April 6, includes 23 Polish universities (6 more than in the previous year). Polish universities are in 34 out of 51 subjects in the ranking. They have never recorded such good scores in the QS World Ranking by Subject.

The best Polish universities were the University of Warsaw, which had the record number of assessed majors, as many as 22 (before year 19), and in 10 of them it improved its position compared to the previous year. It has the highest position in Archeology, ranked 51-100 in the world.

The Jagiellonian University in Krakow, with 20 ratings (before year 14), was ranked highest in the Modern Languages group (101-150).

The Warsaw University of Technology introduced 10 disciplines to the ranking (as many as in the previous year), including two in the 151-200 group: Engineering – Civil and Structural and Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

The QS World University Ranking by Subject 2022 methodology includes criteria such as the university’s reputation among academic staff and employers, citations and the Hirsch index.
