All Polish poviat cities and towns will be analyzed in: demography, health, education, housing, socio-economic conditions, culture, environment and public programs. On this basis, the Healthy Cities Index will be created.
The initiator of the project is the LUX MED Group and the project partners are experts from the Warsaw School of Economics and the Foundation of Economy and Public Administration. They will show what and how affects the quality of life and health of the inhabitants of 66 cities in Poland.
Over 50% of world population, including 60% of Poland’s population live in cities. Despite the numerous benefits that urbanized areas offer their inhabitants, it is in cities that the percentage of chronically ill inhabitants grows much faster.
The Healthy Cities Index is part of the Healthy Cities initiative, a multidimensional project in the area of sustainable development, implemented by the LUX MED Group since 2021.
