Polish universities and institutes included in the newest Center for World University Rankings

40 Polish scientific institutions are included in the latest list of 2000 best scientific institutions in the world prepared by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR).

19,788 scientific institutions around the world were assessed in the ranking. The best 2,000 were selected and presented in the CWUR.

CWUR rankings have been published since 2012. Their creators take into account quality of education and research results (number of scientific papers, publications in prestigious journals or citations).

Among Polish universities and research institutes, the Jagiellonian University in Krakow was taken the highest 381st place. The University of Warsaw took 402nd place and the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow – 590.

Other Polish scientific institutions in the CWUR ranking include: the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Kraków (638), the Warsaw University of Technology (711) and the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań (818).
