Wrocław University of Science and Technology will cooperate with ABB. The main assumptions of the cooperation agreement include the development of new teaching programs, training and courses, the preparation of new positions in laboratories and the implementation of cloud services.
The “Education Project” will prepare engineers to work in a digital environment, and to give scientists a chance to use modern didactic tools – so that young people are best prepared for the realities of Industry 4.0.
“From the enterprise’s perspective, investments in digital technologies are a necessity in order to remain competitive in the dynamically changing market environment. Importantly, the fourth industrial revolution does not marginalize the role of man as a worker. On the contrary, there will be a shortage of specialists who can create individual elements of a smart factory using available tools, electrical appliances or cloud services”, says project manager Dr Joanna Budzisz.
