A modern molecular laboratory is being built in the Department and Department of Genetics of the Medical University in Wrocław. The establishment of the institution opens the way to modern, accurate and precise diagnostics and scientific research, which will become more valued, and their results will be important in the country and in the world.

“The establishment of a modern genetic laboratory at our university is a completely new opening. Genetics is the basis. Most diseases are genetically determined. We are not able to recognize a whole range of rare diseases on the basis of a classic clinical examination. These are conditions that hide all genetic diversity behind a single disease. “Genetics now has a basic application in the diagnosis of a huge number of diseases, such as rare diseases or cancer”, says Prof. Maria Sąsiadek, head of the Chair and Department of Genetics at the Wrocław university.
