The President of the Council of Ministers granted an award for achievements in scientific activity to Professor Marian Gorynia from the Poznań University of Economics. His series of publications devoted to micro-, meso- and macroeconomic conditions of achieving benefits from international economic cooperation were appreciated.
The awarding committee highlighted Prof. Gorynia’s achievements combining the fields of economics and finance, management and quality in competitiveness and internationalisation. In addition to his innovative approach to competitiveness, the merit of his achievements lies in the fact that they were built on the basis of cooperation between interdisciplinary teams, which made it possible to formulate new research issues.
The Prime Minister’s Awards for outstanding doctoral dissertations, achievements giving rise to the award of the degree of doctor habilitowany or doctor habilitated in arts and for achievements in scientific and implementation activities have been awarded since 1994.
