12 January 2023 is the deadline for submitting applications for the “Sapientia et Veritas Meritorious for Polish Science” Medal. The medal will be awarded for special merits to higher education and science, including for outstanding achievements in scientific, teaching or organisational activities.

The ‘Sapientia et Veritas’ Medal for Meritorious Service to Polish Science has three ranks: gold, silver and bronze. This allows a candidate for the award to be honoured according to his or her merits or achievements. It can be awarded to, among others, persons of merit to science and higher education, including persons without Polish citizenship, universities, foundations, research institutes, associations. The medal will also be able to be awarded posthumously.

The medal “Sapientia et Veritas for Merit to Polish Science” is awarded by the Minister of Education and Science.
