The Technical University of Łódź and the Saint-Gobain Group in Poland have signed an agreement on joint activities for the development and education of students, as well as joint research projects.
The letter of intent was signed by Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, rector of PŁ, and Grzegorz Wojciechowski, general manager for Eastern Europe of Saint-Gobain Surface Solutions, who is a graduate of the PŁ Chemistry Department.
The cooperation is to concern internships and student placements as part of the company’s activities and projects. Joint thesis topics are planned and engineering staff will be recruited from among the university’s graduates, according to Saint-Gobain’s needs. The next step will be joint research, implementation or organisational projects, which will allow students to put their knowledge into practice and gain valuable experience, which is the key to further professional development.
Saint-Gobain is a world leader in lightweight and sustainable construction, and develops, manufactures and distributes materials and services for the construction and industrial markets.
