Registration for the ‘My PhD in 180 seconds’ competition for the Central European region is open until 19 February 2023. This is the fifth time that the French Institute in Poland, in cooperation with the French Culture Centre and the Academic Society of Polish Romanists “Plejada”, is organising the national final of this event. 

Participants, for a maximum of three minutes, will be allowed to present the topic of their doctoral thesis in French and try to convince the jury and the audience. 

The Polish selection is organised by the Centre for French Culture and Francophone Studies at the University of Warsaw, together with the Academic Association of Polish Romanists “Plejada” and the French Institute in Poland.

The competition is an opportunity for PhD students to present their scientific work to a wide audience, explaining complex issues in a simple way. From mathematics to literature, biology or architecture, all fields are accepted.
