Mark Brzezinski, US Ambassador to Poland, met with students and academics of the Faculty of International and Political Studies at the University of Lodz (UŁ). His speech was entitled: “Poland And U.S. Today and Tomorrow”. The meeting was also attended by the rector of the University of Lodz, Prof. Elżbieta Żądzińska, and representatives of the Lodz authorities.

Ambassador Brzezinski devoted most of his speech to the situation of Poland and Ukraine against Russian aggression, mentioning the aid that Poles have given and are giving to millions of refugees from Ukraine and the US military support for our eastern neighbour.

Addressing the students directly, he highlighted technological investments and the opportunities for young people that follow. 

‘I am very optimistic about the future of the young generation in America and in Poland. I believe that you are able to organise yourselves, technologically of course, through social media, as no one has been able to do before, and that you will do it for really good higher purposes’, said Mark Brzezinski.
