From 22 to 26 May, the Arqus Summer School on Democracy will run at the University of Wrocław a programme ‘Ukraine on the Road to Europe’. The event is part of a project by the University’s Office for International Cooperation and the National Agency for Academic Exchange aimed at establishing cooperation between Ukrainian universities and members of the Arqus Alliance of European Universities. 

Participants will have the opportunity to attend lectures and workshops and share their perspectives on Ukraine’s democratic path to the European Union and the current war situation. PhD students from Ukrainian universities will present the political, social and economic changes caused by the war, and PhD students from Arqus will present the consequences of the war in Ukraine for their countries. 

The school this year is organised for the first time in cooperation with Arqus and the Office of the European Commission in Wrocław, but refers to the Summer School on Democracy, which has been organised at the Institute of Political Science since 2013.
