The School of Polish Language and Culture at the University of Silesia in Katowice was ranked highest in the accreditation proceedings of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) for the provision of Polish language courses in the years 2023-2026. The Silesian university’s unit was once again the only centre in Poland to receive accreditation in all categories. 

Having operated for more than 30 years, the school has been authorised to conduct remote and on-site summer schools, a preparatory course for studies in Polish and a methodology course for foreign lecturers.

When assessing the applications, an expert team took into account, among other things, the centre’s experience in running Polish language courses for foreigners, assessed the content of the teaching staff and the lecturers conducting classes in the subject area, the course programme, as well as the applicant’s technical and organisational potential.
