Outstanding Polish scientists awarded Sapientia et Veritas medals

During the ‘Science for Society’ congress, the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, and the Deputy Minister, Wojciech Murdzek, presented the Sapientia et Veritas Medals for outstanding contributions to higher education and science, including for outstanding achievements in scientific, teaching, and organisational work.

The following persons were awarded the Gold Sapientia et Veritas Medal: Dr Radosław Dziuba – Łukasiewicz Research Network, Łódź Institute of Technology; Prof. Wiesław Mieczysław Ostachowicz – Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery, Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN); Col. Paweł Sweklej – Military Armament Technical Institute; Prof. Andrzej Jacek Bojarski – Institute of Pharmacology, Polish Academy of Sciences; Prof. Grzegorz Lota – Łukasiewicz Research Network, Institute of Independent Metals; Prof. Antoni Marek Szczurek – Institute of Nuclear Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences. 

The Silver Sapientia et Veritas Medal was awarded to Prof. Piotr H. Skarżyński from the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing.
