After many years of fruitful cooperation between the Silesian University of Technology and the Silesian Medical University in Katowice, the two universities are strengthening their mutual contacts. Rectors Prof. Arkadiusz Mężyk and Prof. Tomasz Szczepański signed a letter of intent and declared their willingness to undertake broad didactic cooperation aimed at the exchange of experience leading to the development of the fields of study offered by both universities. 

The cooperation will concern scientific activities within the framework of scientific research projects, participation in scientific conferences, expert panels and joint scientific publications. There are also plans for joint training courses, workshops and exercises, supporting each other in the organisation of seminars, competitions or Open Days. The partners will also collaborate on mutual contacts with experts on cutting-edge medical trends.
