The Upper Silesian-Zagłębiowska Metropolis (GZM) will subsidise research aimed at improving and perfecting work safety in heavy industry plants in the GZM.
The project envisages the development of a state-of-the-art noise sensor to support integrated management of occupational safety in plants at risk of noise leading to hearing loss and occupational diseases. The use of the sensor as part of preventive measures will also make it possible to identify irregularities in the operation of machinery and equipment used even in explosive atmospheres – which will contribute to a reduction in noise emissions in the environment and the early detection of breakdowns in the machinery and equipment in use.
The issues tackled in the project are part of the implementation of the objectives contained in the strategic documents of the Silesian Voivodeship and the Silesian Urban Management Region, and also strengthen the innovative and intelligent economic transformation, and thus the region’s competitive advantage in the international arena.
