Energa from the ORLEN Group has become a sponsor of the Academy of Physical Education and Sport in Gdańsk (AWFiS). The main objective of the sponsorship agreement is to provide financial support to the academy and, above all, to the athletes and teams performing under the AWFiS banner to facilitate their training and participation in national and international competitions.
“The sponsorship agreement with Energa will allow our university to continue its sporting development and support the careers of young athletes studying at the university. I would like to thank the Board of Energa for their trust and I hope that our cooperation will allow us to strengthen Pomerania’s position in the national sports arena”, says the Rector of AWFiS, Professor Paweł Cięszczyk.
Energa and AWFiS have been cooperating for several years within the framework of the sports-educational programme Drużyna Energii. This initiative promotes the sporting activation of children and young people from primary schools through joint play and competition in the spirit of fair play. Every year, physical activity is promoted by well-known and popular athletes.
