On the basis of data collected by members of the Student Scientific Club of Biotechnologists “Mikron” from the Maria Curie Sklodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin, the Student Scientific Club of Geo IT from the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Spatial Management of UMCS developed a website with an application that allows quick browsing of different mushroom species along with their location in Polish forests.

The ‘Mushrooms in Poland’ application is a scientific project carried out by the scientific clubs of the UMCS in Lublin. 

The main idea of this project was to provide knowledge about different mushroom species, their location and related information, but also to build awareness of the potential danger that mushrooms can cause.
