The Silesian University of Technology continues to implement the Geomatics for Disaster Risk Reduction (GeoDRR) Erasmus E+ project. One element of the project was a June educational visit and training for partners at the University of Alicante (Spain).

The project involves ten partners: six universities from South East Asia (Philippines, Cambodia, Malaysia), universities from Greece and Spain, and a consulting group from Luxembourg. The aim is to launch a second-degree course ‘Geomatics for Disaster Risk Reduction (GeoDRR)’ at the six South Asian universities, together with the necessary laboratory facilities.

In addition to coordination, management, managerial and administrative activities, the Silesian University of Technology, together with the European universities and a consulting and training company, is carrying out training activities for the Asian partners and promotional work as part of the venture.
