The University of Gdansk, in collaboration with institutions from other countries, has received funding for the PRO-CLIMATE project under the Horizon Europe programme.

The PRO-CLIMATE project aims to support communities to proactively adapt to climate change through social and behavioural transformation. PRO-CLIMATE is a continuation and development of the SCORE Horizon 2020 project (project completion June 2025), a key element of which is running ‘living’ labs and connecting stakeholders to better understand progressive climate change.

At the University of Gdansk, the PRO-CLIMATE and SCORE project manager is Dr Jacek Barańczuk from the Urban Environmental Research Laboratory of the Department of Hydrology, Faculty of Oceanography and Geography. The total budget of the project is EUR 4 206 310.00, of which EUR 228 875.00 for the University of Gdansk.
