The Department of Psychology of Human Development of the Institute of Psychology at the Ignatianum Academy in Krakow (AIK) is organising the 9th Narrative Psychology Conference on 21-23 September 2023: “Stories that unite, stories that divide”.

This year’s conference will focus on the adaptive and maladaptive aspects of narrative. The organisers hope to meet researchers academically concerned with the phenomenon of narrative, as well as practising psychologists and representatives of other scientific disciplines, to delve into the area of the ‘power and night’ of narrative.

The main thematic areas of the conference will be: the constructive/destructive dimension of narratives; functional and non-adaptive narratives; the applicability of narrative psychology (e.g. in psychotherapy, parenting).

The event will be held under the honorary patronage of the Rector of the Ignatianum Academy, Dr Tomasz Homa SJ, Professor at AIK.
