On 11-13 September 2023, the University of Bialystok (UwB) Campus will host the Conversatorium of Atomic Spectrometry.
The organisers of the event include: Faculty of Chemistry of UwB, Medical University of Bialystok, Olsztyn and Bialystok Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) and the Committee on Analytical Chemistry of the PAN.
Topics to be discussed include atomic absorption and emission spectrometry; inductively coupled plasma ionisation mass spectrometry; X-ray fluorescence spectrometry; preparation of samples for analysis; interferences in spectral measurements and methods of their elimination; quality control of analytical results and new design solutions in measuring instruments.
During the event, the Dr Jerzy Fijałkowski Prize will be awarded, which recognises outstanding achievements in atomic spectrometry and mass spectrometry.
