The Gdansk University of Technology (PG) has been ranked for the fourth time in the Academic Ranking of World Universities, the so-called Shanghai ranking, which is considered the most prestigious ranking of universities in the world. The Gdansk university was ranked between 901 and 1000.

‘We are consistently developing our university: we invest in infrastructure, support research and development of scientists, and take care of the high level of our teaching offer. The rightness of our actions is confirmed, among others, by our place in the Shanghai ranking’, says the rector, Prof. Krzysztof Wilde.

The ranking ranks universities from all over the world according to the number of graduates or employees who have received the Nobel Prize or the Fields Medal, the number of scientists on the Highly Cited Researchers list, the number of articles in the scientific journals Nature and Science and indexed in the Science Citation Index-Expanded and the Social Science Citation Index, as well as the size of the university’s achievements in relation to the number of academic staff.
