Scholarships for scientists of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń

The Polish Academy of Learning awarded scholarships from the Lanckoronski Foundation and the Foundation Fundacji of Brzezia Lanckorońskich to researchers from the University of Toruń.

The prizes were received by Dr Mirosława Buchholtz from the Department of English Philology and the Department of English Literature for the project “Art and artists in the stories of Henry James”; Dr Dorota Grabowska-Pieńkosz from the Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences for the preparation of a monograph of the Pedagogical Society; Dr Krzysztof Kania from the Faculty of Historical Sciences for a scientific study of the life of August Zaleski; Dr Karol Kłodziński from the University Library for the study of the activity of slaves and freedmen in the provincial administration of the early Roman Empire; Prof. Szymon Olszaniec from the Faculty of Sciences for the preparation of a monograph of the Roman administration in late antiquity / early Middle Ages and Prof. Waldemar Rezmer and Prof. Aleksander Smoliński from the Department of Military History at the Faculty of Historical Sciences.
