Students of secondary schools located in the Upper Silesia-Zagłębie Metropolis that have signed an agreement with the Silesian Medical University in Katowice will take part in the project “Secondary school student at the University 2023”. The first classes at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences will take place on 18 September.
All classes will be conducted in an attractive workshop format. Students will independently perform experiments they know only from theory and will see how theoretical knowledge can be used in practice.
Classes will be led by experienced research and teaching staff, and students will be able to learn about the different faces of enzymes, understand the excretory system, discover the secrets of DNA and explore genetic engineering.
All workshops will be conducted in laboratory rooms equipped with specialised equipment used by students of pharmacy, medical analytics, medical biotechnology and cosmetology.
