University of Silesia inviting participants to lecture ‘Medical robots as an opportunity for doctors and their patients’

The University of Silesia is inviting participants to the lecture “Medical robots as an opportunity for doctors and their patients” organised as part of the Open Dual Lecture series. The meeting scheduled for 13 September is part of the Entrepreneurship School, which is organised by the Silesian university from 11 to 15 September. 

The event’s guests will be Prof. Zbigniew Nawrat – creative director at the Prof. Z. Religa Foundation for Cardiac Surgery Development, author and chief designer of Robin Heart – a cardiac surgery robot – and Prof. Dr Robertas Damaševičius – researcher, lecturer at the Department of Applied Informatics at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas.

The lecture will introduce the realities of working in innovative medicine. Participants will learn about the path from idea to prototypes and products and how science is intertwined with business. The unique perspective of the intersection of the field of innovative medicine with other disciplines such as psychology, computer science and robotics will also be presented.
