On 6 September 2023, the “Science for Defence and Security” Conference, organised by the Polytechnic Network for Defence and Security, which includes Kielce University of Technology, Rzeszów University of Technology and Lublin University of Technology, takes place at the Kielce Trade Fair Congress Centre. 

The aim of the conference is to exchange knowledge and experience in security and defence, as well as the modernisation of the Polish army and the arms industry. The common denominator of all speeches will be the benefits of cooperation between the scientific community, representatives of the defence sector and the Polish Armed Forces.

Rectors of the three technical universities, who signed an agreement on 25 May 2023 to establish a Defence and Security Polytechnic Network Prof. Zbigniew Koruba, D.Sc. (Kielce University of Technology), Prof. Piotr Koszelnik, D.Sc. (Rzeszów University of Technology) and Prof. Zbigniew Pater, D.Sc. (Lublin University of Technology) will speak at the conference. 

The rectors want to combine the potential of the research units they manage in order to jointly carry out research and development work for the modernisation and independence of the Polish defence industry.
