Six public universities in Łódź: Technical University of Lodz, University of Lodz, Medical University, Film School and the Academy of Fine Arts and Academy of Music, will jointly inaugurate the new academic year 2023/2024 on 2 October 2023 at the Lodz Philharmonic Hall.

This will be the first joint inauguration since the public universities established the Łódź Academic Partnership (ŁPA) – an organisation that aims to consistently strengthen mutual cooperation for the benefit of the academic community, as well as our city, province and all current and potential partners at home and abroad.

The inaugural lecture “A new look at our planet: from manned space flights to Earth observation” will be given by astronaut, a graduate of the Technical University of Lodz, Dr Slawosz Uznański. The event will be honoured by the Choir of the Academy of Music and an artistic performance by students of the Film School.
