The General Council for Science and Higher Education (RGNiSzW) has issued an appeal to members of the academic community in Poland, in which it encourages everyone to participate in the upcoming elections to the Sejm and the Senate and to cast an important vote. The appeal was unanimously supported by the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland.

“We, people of science, contribute to the development of society, economy and culture. Decisions taken at the parliamentary level have a significant impact on working conditions, research funding, innovations and the quality of the entire education process”, notes the Council in its appeal.

“Your participation in the elections is not only about electing representatives, but also an opportunity to indicate the priorities we would like to introduce. Whether you are an academic, a researcher, a doctoral student, an employee of the administration and services supporting the institutions of science and education, or a student still acquiring knowledge and skills, by taking part in the elections, your voice is important for the decisions taken at parliamentary and governmental level”, say the appeal of the RGNiSzW.
