Silesian University of Technology has officially inaugurated the 5th edition of the “Spread your wings” mentoring programme dedicated to students of general secondary schools run by the university. This school year, eight students from the Academic High Schools in Gliwice and Rybnik joined the programme.

The aim of the programme is to develop the intellectual potential of the best secondary school students, while supporting their personal development and preparing them for the start of their professional careers. As part of the programme, students will benefit from various forms of support aimed at acquiring new competencies and developing their academic potential.  

The most important assumption is that the students will be able to learn from their mentors, scientists of the Silesian University of Technology with a recognised track record in research and application. The programme will first and foremost enable them to develop their passions and scientific interests, but will also awaken their interest in technical sciences.
