More than 550 new international students have officially started their studies at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. During a special ceremony organised by the Department of International Cooperation, they were welcomed by, among others, the Vice-Rector for Cooperation, Prof. Dariusz Łydżba.
“I welcome you to one of the best universities in Poland. I am glad that you have chosen Wrocław University of Science and Technology and I assure you that you have made a good choice. I wish you that your time at our university will be fruitful both academically and socially”, says the pro-rector.
Most of the new students come from Belarus, Turkey and Ukraine, but there are also people from Uganda, Syria and Columbia, among others. A whole week of activities and workshops has been prepared for them – a city game, a tour of the campus and integration in smaller groups. They still have a tour of Wrocław ahead of them, and the WroMigrant city contact point is preparing special information workshops.
