The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the Medical University of Wrocław will receive an additional 24 dental units and 22 laboratory tables. The money to purchase the equipment is provided by a grant from the Ministry of Health. A symbolic cheque for nearly PLN 3.5 million was handed over by Minister of Health Katarzyna Sójka during the inauguration of the 2023/2024 academic year.

In her speech, the minister congratulated the university authorities on their successful undertakings. She mentioned the establishment of a branch in Walbrzych and the project for an Integrated Paediatric Centre and a Regional Centre for Digital Medicine. The head of the Ministry of Health also addressed the students.  

“By deciding on these studies, you have taken on an ambitious challenge. I wish you to have the enthusiasm and energy to grow; to be able to take advantage of the many areas of beautiful medicine that are meant to serve others. I wish that when you are doctors, you do not fall into a routine and that you always ‘feel’ the patient, treating them as if you yourself wanted to be treated”, said the Minister.
