The National Agency for Academic Exchange will provide the First Doctoral School of the Medical University of Gdańsk (GUMed) with a grant for the project ‘Doctorate Beyond Borders’ as part of the STER NAWA Programme – Internationalisation of Doctoral Schools. GUMed is the only medical university among 14 other academic centres to have been awarded funding in this year’s programme.

“Doctorate Beyond Borders” is a project aimed at improving the quality of training for those pursuing their doctorates at the Gdansk University, increasing the number of foreign doctoral students, and including foreign scientists in the training process. 

Thanks to scholarships for the best doctoral students and numerous scientific, research and training placements, people studying at GUMed will have greater scientific potential, and academic teachers will have the opportunity to learn about good practices implemented by foreign doctoral schools.
