Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Eurasian L.N. Gumilev National University in Astana, Kazakhstan, with the aim of establishing direct and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two universities and increasing the effectiveness of educational, methodological and scientific research work.

The agreement envisages cooperation in the areas of academic exchange of teachers, researchers, doctoral students, master’s and bachelor’s students for educational purposes, long-term and short-term internships.

The universities also declare cooperation in the preparation of highly qualified educational and scientific staff and specialists in areas of common interest; doctoral studies; exchange of experience and information in educational and methodological work and exchange of educational projects and programmes, organising and conducting online lectures.

The organisation of joint scientific and scientific-technological research with the participation of professorial staff is also envisaged.
