As many as 61 people from 24 countries will receive scholarships for research in Polish centres. “The most scholarship holders come from India, Iran, Spain, Pakistan, Turkey and the Czech Republic”, announced the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
They will begin their research stays at Polish universities and research institutes from January 2024. They will be hosted by as many as 31 such institutions. Most projects will be carried out at the University of Warsaw, Jagiellonian University, and the Silesian University of Technology.
“The Ulam NAWA programme is a catalyst for academic mobility in Poland. For the past five years, it has offered foreign scientists the opportunity to cooperate with Polish researchers and experts. Thanks to the exchange of experience and a lively scientific discussion, Polish research units can engage in an even greater number of interesting and important projects and thus develop their scientific potential”, said Dr Dawid Kostecki, Director of NAWA.
