At the General Assembly of the Association of Chemistry and the Environment (ACE), which took place during the 23rd European Meeting of Environmental Chemistry (EMEC23) conference held in Budva, Montenegro, Prof. Małgorzata Szynkowska-Jóźwik, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry at the Technical University of Lodz, was unanimously elected President of ACE.
Prof. Małgorzata Szynkowska-Jóźwik in the previous term was vice-president of the association, which unites scientists focused on solving environmental problems and promoting environmentally oriented education.
“This is a great honour for me and also for the Technical University of Lodz. We observe what is happening to our planet and we know how important it is for the research community to be in touch with the economic sector, business and society, as well as those who legislate”, said the new ACE president.
The Association of Chemistry and the Environment was founded in 2000 by a group of European scientists.
