The University of Silesia is inviting the public to the international conference ‘Community of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Towards Supporting Well-being and Sustainability’ on 21 and 22 March. The event will be an opportunity for scientific and social reflection on the meaning and ways of implementing the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion in academic and non-academic environments.
The topics of the meeting will be devoted to the problems of implementing equality and diversity policies and plans, but also to other aspects of developing the well-being of different social groups, with a particular focus on the gender context.
Representatives of various scientific disciplines, as well as those responsible for the implementation of equality and diversity policies and the development of well-being in universities and local communities, have been invited to participate in the conference. Speakers will include Helen Dalli, European Commissioner for Equality, and Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament.
