Medals, awards and distinctions were received by students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Nicolaus Copernicus University at the XXV International Mathematical Competition IMC 2018 in Blagoevgrad in Bulgaria.
The organizers of the competition were University College London and American University in Bulgaria. During the competition, student of the University of Toruń Kamil Dunst took the second prize and silver medal; Karolina Wojtyniak took the third prize and bronze medal, and Władysław Klinikowski received a distinction.
351 students from Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas took part in this year’s tournament. Competitors solved 10 tasks within 2 days (each day 5 tasks in 300 minutes). The trip of three awarded students and their supervisors was financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education as part of the project “The best of the best! 2.0.”
