Re-socialisation with penitentiary studies, Sociology as a master’s programme and new BA and MA Pedagogy courses are the new majors offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences (WNS) at the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn from October this year.

Re-socialisation with penitentiary studies is one of two new courses opening at the WNS from next year. As Dr Beata Adrjan, associate dean for education, says in an interview with University News, it is a response to the demand of the labour market and students wishing to gain new qualifications.

Another novelty at WNS is the Sociology major within the MA programme.
