27.08.2018

The oldest candidate qualified for full-time studies at the University of Bialystok is 69 years old. He will study history – says Katarzyna Dziedzik, spokesman for the Białystok university.

Students from the 40+ group have always been numerous on weekend courses. Similarly, the number of students aged 40+ has been growing for a few years at stationary studies at the University of Bialystok. There were 12 of such students in 2012 and currently the university provides the courses for 16 seniors.

– In our opinion, this is the effect of changes in our society. The education model promoted by the European Union including lifelong learning, has apparently been accepted in our country – explains Katarzyna Dziedzik.
