The University of Silesia inaugurated the “University of the Best” program. The project aims to develop the interests of the most talented pupils from Katowice primary and secondary schools. It is also to present the educational offer of the University of Silesia and encourage pupils to take up studies in the capital of the Silesian Voivodeship.

The organizers of the project are the University of Silesia, the City of Katowice, the Psychological and Pedagogical Counseling Center no. 5 and the Youth Palace in Katowice. The pupils will attempt to recognize their interests and predispositions and set the path of personal and scientific development with the support of a tutor, a research worker at the university.

The solemn inauguration was attended by pupils and their tutors, as well as by Prof. Ryszard Koziołek – Vice-Rector for Education and Students of Silesian University and Waldemar Bojarun – Vice-Mayor of Katowice.
