The National Science Center (NCN) has begun operating in a new headquarters at ul. Twardowski in Krakow. This is the first such important institution located outside the current capital of Poland – said on Monday, December 17, 2018, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin, during the inauguration.
NCN is an executive agency of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. In the office building, located near the ICE Krakow Congress Center, nearly 170 employees will have at their disposal more than 5,000. square meters of modern space.
Deputy Prime Minister Gowin thinks that the NCN is a great opportunity for Krakow. As he emphasizes, locating the center outside of Warsaw is an expression of the philosophy of deglomeration.
– The idea of sustainable development of Poland should also be expressed in the fact that key institutions are located in other cities than the capital – said the Deputy Prime Minister.
