In total, nearly PLN 300 million will be received by 10 largest academic centers in Poland from the National Center for Research and Development. Funds granted under the third Integrated University Programs are to be used to improve the level of education at Polish universities – said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin.
The Integrated University Programs consists of three calls, so-called paths with estimated total budget amounting to PLN 1 billion. In the results of the “third path” the largest universities have been eligible for receiving the funding.
The best assessment in the call was received by the University of Lodz for its project “Student’s Power – a comprehensive university development program”. It will cover a total of approximately 4,300 people, including 130 representatives of university staff.
