Professor Bogusław Pawłowski from the Department of Human Biology at the University of Wrocław became the chairman of the international organization European Human Behavior and Evolution Association (EHBEA).
EHBEA is an international association supporting scientists in interdisciplinary research on the evolutionary basis of human perception, behavior and social relations. It gathers scholars dealing with evolutionary biology, anthropology, evolutionary psychology, neuroeconomics or the evolution of culture.
Professor Pawłowski deals with the mechanisms of human evolution and the biological basis of human behavior and preferences – in particular, the influence of various features perceived as attractive in terms of sexual selection and biological condition. He published in scientific journals Nature, Evolution and Human Behavior, Current Anthropology and in the American Journal of Human Biology.
