The Polish Institute of International Affairs, the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, the Center of Eastern Europe of the Maria Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin and the Faculty of Political Science of the Maria Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin invite the participants to the conference “Energy and Defense in the Nordic-Baltic Region” on March 9, 2018. The conference will be held at the Lublin Conference Center.

During the event, the results of the project “Nordic-Baltic Security in Times of Uncertainty: The Defense-Energy Nexus” will be presented, and the scientists will focus on two thematic areas. The first is “Russia’s neo-imperial ambitions: the implications for defense in the region.” The second one is an attempt to answer the question whether energy is the key to the security of the region.
