Daughter of the Polish President wins the international legal competition

The team of Jagiellonian University students won the “Best Respondent Award” and “Third Best Team Award” in the 26th international law competition Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, which was held in Madrid. The team of the Krakow university included Kinga Duda, the daughter of the Polish President Andrzej Duda.

Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot is a competition for law students who specialize in international commercial arbitration. Its aim is to popularize international commercial arbitration and the Vienna Convention on contracts for the international sale of goods. Every year, 2,000 students from 300 universities from 60 countries take part in it.

Kinga Duda, who is a 4th year law student at the Jagiellonian University, represented the Krakow University also a year ago, during the 25th competition.
