Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań to apply for the status of a European University

07.03.2019

Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, together with seven universities from Europe, acting as part of the EPICUR (European Partnership for an Innovative Campus Unifying Regions) consortium, is applying for an EU grant for the creation of a European University.

The concept of European Universities is the idea of French president Emmanuel Macron, who proposed the creation of a network of European universities with joint study programs and diplomas, conducting jointly advanced research. Universities are to start working from the next academic year. The project is financed under the Erasmus + program “European Universities”.

Poznan University’s partners in the consortium are: University of Strasbourg and University of Haute-Alsace (France); University of Amsterdam (Netherlands); Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg and Karlsruher institut für technologie (Germany); University Bodenkultur Wien (Austria) and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece).
