The Wrocław University of Economics team took first place in the national finals of the renowned financial competition of CFA Institute Research Challenge. The next stage of the competition will be competition of the Europe, the Middle East and Africa teams, which will take place in Zurich in April.

The national finals of this largest student financial contest in the world included defending the analytical report of the selected company (this year it was PKN Orlen, the “hold” recommendation) before the panel of professionals.

The winners of the national finals are Karolina Bajorek, Michał Kazan, Tomasz Olejarski, Przemysław Stadnik, Michał Szczepanik (captain) -students of the Master Study in Finance in the department of management and finance. Grzegorz Jajuga (industry mentor) and Dr hab. Tomasz Słoński (academic advisor) also helped the team.
